This historic Hotel in Assisi was officially opened in 1913 by Lady Fanny Morgan, of English descent and is now a modern three-star hotel offering all the facilities of its category. Since its opening over a century ago, the Hotel Windsor Savoia is still under the management of Lady Morgan’s descendants.
Located in Assisi’s historic centre, the hotel boasts a splendid location in the heart of the city, just 100 meters from St. Francis Church as well as a magnificent view of the Basilica of St. Francis and of the entire Umbrian Valley. The unique location of the Hotel Windsor Savoia will enable you to discover Assisi on foot. You will be able to experience it as a centre of peace, spirituality and art. The Hotel Windsor Savoia’s central location makes it the ideal place to stay for those wishing to take part in the city’s numerous cultural events.
The Hotel has 34 rooms, each with their bathroom or shower, including 2 rooms that are especially designed to accommodate disabled guests. All rooms have air conditioning, WiFi internet connection, a mini-bar, a safe, colour TV and a direct-dial telephone. Other facilities include an elevator, a bar, an indoor restaurant for 250 people and a panoramic terrace. The hotel is 100% smoke-free and it is fully accessible to people with limited mobility.

Since far 1927 - when our ancestors for the first time equipped the building with an international four-valves radio - over the years our commitment has always been characterized by the same objective, to make the stay of the guests pleasant but at the same time regenerating, nowadays even more thanks to the different services made available.

The Hotel has 34 rooms, each with their bathroom or shower, including 2 rooms that are especially designed to accommodate disabled guests. All rooms have air conditioning, WiFi internet connection, a minibar, a safe, colour TV and a direct-dial telephone. To meet the needs of all guests, our rooms are proposed in three different categories, according to the size of the room, to the landscape and to the included facilities.
Usually, rooms are avaible for our guests starting from 1:00PM, while the check-out will be at 11:00AM. On request, and if avaible, it is possible to anticipate the check-in or to posticipate the check-out.
Classic Rooms
Our Classic Rooms overlook the Wall that defended the City of Assisi in the Middle Ages and the beautiful Gate of the St Francis Basilica. Classically furnished, the rooms have individual climate control, LED TV, wi-fi, a minibar, a digital safe, a telephone and a hairdryer.
Belvedere Rooms
Our Belvedere Rooms overlook the beautiful Umbrian Valley with its breathtaking scenery and fantastic sunsets. Classically furnished, the Valley View Rooms have air conditioning, individually regulated, a TV, internet wi-fi, a minibar, a digital safe, a telephone and a hairdryer. Some of the rooms also have a private balcony.
Belvedere Top Rooms
Our Belvedere Top Rooms are the most spacious and comfortable rooms in the hotel. They overlook the beautiful Umbrian Valley, from which you will enjoy its unforgettable panorama stretching from Perugia to Spoleto. The Belvedere Top Rooms have a terrace where you can relax at sunset and enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the morning.
